Sunshine Cleaning was started in 1982 by Monica Van Orsdol. Her vision was to have the best maid service in town and to make our guest experience the best she could make it, by making sure the units were in the best condition regarding the cleanliness and in order. Monica also wanted the owners to have peace of mind that their homes were being looked after when they were not here, she wanted them to be able to come home and relax, not have to put everything back together.
A cleaning company was badly needed at that time she saw an opportunity to make her company work. In 2005 Juan L Alvarado and Gwendoline Bojorques took over Sunshine Cleaning and started to move forward with expanding the company, by adding a couple hundred more housing units and homes to their cleaning list. Juan and Gwendoline also added carpet cleaning and upholstery cleanings. They currently have a staff of about 20 housekeepers, 3 supervisors and an office manager. Sunshine Cleaning has become a well known company in the town of Mammoth Lakes and Juan’s goals are to continue to grow and to have a great working relationship with Mammoth Lakes home owners and their guests!
